As it's the new year and all we've made a few resolutions; drink less, blog more and most importantly fall back in love with those 'on trend' pieces we bought back when they were 'on trend'.
Flash back a year or so when 'sports luxe' had a hold on the fashion world. Think sportswear with a twist; an ideal mix of function and glamour which defined such a key trend. Leather, cotton and silks sit alongside specialist fabrics such as Lycra and Aertex mesh whilst flashes of gold and silver and even Perspex compliment the whole outfit. Keeping lines clean cut and simple, an overall ingenious combination of textures and layering.
We've revisited this fuss free modern style and revived it by changing up the silhouettes. Those leggings we lusted after are now teamed up with oversized boyfriend coats and an extra layering of leather for the colder months. Accessories are kept to a minimal but still make a statement; especially this cuff we found from talented jewellery designer Ciara Clark. Shoes, as always, are kept big, chunky and bold.
Never ones to follow 'throw away fashion' we'll keep digging out more hidden treasures from our wardrobes and styling them just as well now as we did back then.
